Essay

The doctoral thesis deals with the question of improving the quality of foreign language training of future teachers of technical disciplines. It was con-cluded that it is necessary to develop a holistic system of foreign language training of future teachers of technical disciplines with a focus on the use of a foreign language as a means of vocational (engineering and pedagogical) train-ing. Methodological approaches, such as the system approach, synergetic ap-proach, personality- and activity-based approach, communicative approach, competence approach and resource approach, were defined. Taking into ac-count the leading ideas of advanced, interdisciplinary integration, duality and relevant principles, the concept of a holistic system of foreign language training of future teachers of technical disciplines was developed. Based on its provi-sions, the system of foreign language vocational training of would-be teachers of technical disciplines, which contains conceptual-target, structural-semantic, technological-activity, control and evaluation blocks, was developed and theo-retically substantiated. The results of a specially organized pedagogical experi-ment on the implementation of the developed system of foreign language train-ing of future teachers of technical disciplines confirmed its effectiveness at high-er education institutions.
