Essay

The interest towards the phenomenon of the man at each stage of his creative evolution is shown. The main stages of the creative evolution of the French thinker as a developer of anthropology are reconstructed. The author has reasoned the indirect nature of the influence of scientific revolution on the way Descartes interpreted a man. It is proved that the forms of expression of the significant role of anthropology include the issues on the ability of man to fulfil the role of the starting point and criterion of truth of the new worldview, as well as the issues on proper principles of human behaviour. The author proposed to divide the main development stages of Descartes' anthropological motive into periods. According to this division, the originality of the first stage (1619 - 1638) is associated with the search of authentic manifestation form of anthropological interest, related to the understanding the possibility to extrapolate the methodology of natural science to human comprehension. It is substantiated that the thinker’s used the mask image to the presentation of his own attitude in the form of impersonal truth of science.
