Essay

The dissertation tackles the issue of quality assurance for professional training of future secondary education masters in physical culture. The notion of “quality assurance for professional training of future secondary education masters in physical culture” has been introduced in academic sphere, according to which it is a totality of procedures and actions that are aimed at assurance and improvement of efficiency of the educational services that envisage formation of special knowledge, teaching physical exercises, development of physical qualities, and education of person’s moral and will-power qualities for personal and professional development of a professional, which meets the demands of the state and stakeholders. The system of quality assurance for professional training of future secondary education masters in physical education has been developed and experimentally verified. It consists of the author’s concept of quality assurance for professional training of future secondary education masters in physical culture, the model of the system in the form of target, content (theoretical, practical, scientific and research component), theoretical and methodological, technological (subsystem of quality assurance for professional training and subsystem of formation of professional competence of future secondary education masters in physical culture), criterion and evaluation blocks as well as didactic assurance of professional training of future secondary education masters in physical culture. The target block of the system’s model assures scientific formation of the problem based on social demand, shows possibility to achieve the planned outcome of the educational process, and contains aim and objectives. Content block of the system’s model contains components (theoretical, practical, scientific and research) of the process of formation of professional competence of future secondary education masters in physical culture. Theoretical component envisages mastering stable, integrated, and systematic knowledge in curriculum’s compulsory educational components. Practical component, which is realized within pedagogical practical studies in secondary and higher educational establishments, assures direct mastering by future masters the defined system of norms, rules, social roles, and values in secondary and higher educational establishments, forms skills and abilities that will help them realize themselves as competent professionals in pedagogical activity. Scientific and research component is realized via engagement of future masters in students’ scientific group, their participation in students’ scientific and practical conferences and contests, scientific publications, which allows to define the area, measure the volume, and improve knowledge in independent scientific and cognitive activity, thereby gain new knowledge and skills. Theoretical and methodological block of the system’s model consists of the concept of quality assurance for professional training of future secondary education masters in physical culture; methodological approaches (dialectic, existential, system, synergetic, akmeological, competence, personality-oriented, activity, qualitative); groups of principles (general didactic, organizational, physical education). Technological block includes subsystem of quality assurance for professional training of future secondary education masters in physical culture (external and internal component, each of which has differential factors, methods and, means), and subsystem of formation of their professional competence (forms, methods, means, stages, and functions). Criterion and evaluation block of the system’s model comprises structural components, criteria, and levels (high, average, low) of formation of professional competence of future secondary education masters in physical culture. Implementation of author’s system resulted in dynamics of quality of professional training of future secondary education masters in physical culture, and formation of their professional competence. Pedagogical conditions of quality assurance for professional training of future secondary education masters in physical culture (assurance of quality of educational programs and content of educational components on the basis of correlation of higher educational establishments with interested parties; assurance of quality of students’ professional training) have been theoretically substantiated; development of value orientation of future masters has been revealed and theoretically substantiated for efficient pedagogical activity in the process of field studies and research activity
