In the dissertation the concept of prosecutor's activity in criminal proceedings is developed, as well as scientifically based proposals aimed at improving its theoretical, legal and organizational foundations are formulated. The nature of prosecutor's activity in criminal proceedings is clarified. The purpose and objectives of prosecutor's activity are defined, its subject area is determined. The functions of a prosecutor's office are disclosed. The system of principles of prosecutor's activity in criminal proceedings is highlighted. The activity of a prosecutor in pre-judicial, judicial criminal proceedings and in its separate orders is characterized. Scientifically reasonable offers directed on improvement of standard regulation of activity of the prosecutor in criminal proceedings are formulated.
