The aim of the work was to determine the internalization-psychological, psychotechnical and defensive dimensions on the basis of the analysis of the content and structure of professional self-identification of a doctor, and to develop a program of psychoprophylactic support based on a psychophenomenological approach. Using a set of theoretical, psychodiagnostic, clinical-psychological, phenomenological and statistical methods, a contingent of 867 doctors with different experience and specialties was examined. As a result of the research it was proposed to define self-identification of a doctor as a complex phenomenon, which includes his idea of himself, characterized by his cognitive-emotional assessment of his professional knowledge, skills, process of professional self-realization under the influence of subjective and objective factors; the theoretical model of the professional self-concept of the doctor was constructed and the maintenance of its cognitive, emotionally-estimative, behavioral and social components was considered; internalization-psychological and psychotechnical features of the formation of professional self-identification of doctors were established; predisposition of personality features and character accentuations in physicians regarding the choice of specialty was studied; defensive mechanisms and coping strategies that arise in doctors in the process of professional activity were identified; the relationship between the levels of neuroticism, burnout, job satisfaction of doctors and their socio-psychological adaptation in the professional environment; communicative stereotypes and behavioral patterns of doctors in establishing compliant relationships with patients and communication in the team were revealed. Based on the data obtained during the study, a program of psychoprophylactic support of the doctor's professional activity was developed on the basis of the psychophenomenological approach, which allows to increase the doctor's stress resistance, his efficiency in work and prevent professional burnout.
