Essay

The dissertation explores the theoretical and practical issues of ensuring the global competitive leadership of the United States in the world economic system at a deep system level. The paper provides an extensive discursive analysis, generalization and structuring of the main theories that reveal the essential nature of competitive leadership within the ontological-epistemological, economic and institutional paradigms. The paradigmatic principles of global competitive leadership are substantiated, its key forms, levels and dimensions are revealed. It is proved that it evolved from the simplest colonial model (in the XV – first half of the XX centuries) to neocolonialism (in 1950-1980s) in its historical progress with the subsequent transition to an independent model in the polycentrism of the international economic order.
