Essay

The dissertation proves the need to analyze the methodology, essential characteristics, and main trends in the development of design education in Germany in order to use positive experience in the process of modernizing the Ukrainian designer training system. The author determines the new functions of design and design education (cultural, educational, developmental, diagnostic, innovative-creative, project-program, implementation, consolidation, integration) in the digitalization era, as well as the methodological innovations of modern design and requirements for training modern designers based on the German design progressive ideas analysis.
