The dissertation study presents the results of a comprehensive analysis of the theory and methodology of professional training of philologists-to-be using modern information technologies. The theoretical and methodological principles of the professional training of philologists-to-be in the system of higher education of Ukraine are substantiated. The leading methodological approaches to the research problem are characterized; conceptual foundations of the problem of formation of professional competence of philologists-to-be by means of information technologies are determined. A multi-level hierarchy of scientific approaches is substantiated, namely: general philosophical (systemic and informological scientific approaches), general scientific (environmental approach), specific scientific (competency-based and linguo-didactic approaches), applied (diagnostic tools of the experimental part of the study). The leading concepts of the problem of professional training of philologists-to-be by means of information technologies in institutions of higher education: “information”, “communication” and “technology” are characterized. A system of criteria (target-oriented, knowledge-based, activity-based, reflexive) and corresponding indicators for evaluating the level of effectiveness of the scientific-methodical system of professional training of philologists-to-be by means of modern information technologies was designed. The levels of professional competence of philologists-to-be formed with the help of modern information technologies are characterized – high (creative), medium (productive), sufficient (reproductive), low (adaptive) – and a diagnostic toolkit for their diagnosis was created. On the basis of an expert survey and factor analysis, pedagogical conditions for the professional training of philologists-to-be were formulated: 1) motivation of philologists-to-be for professional growth and personal development by creation of a favorable learning environment and consideration of the interests, needs, and inclinations of young people (social-motivational condition); 2) actualization of the content of professional knowledge, skills and abilities of philologists-to-be in the educational process and searching for appropriate forms, methods and technologies of training (professional-content condition); 3) use of information technologies in the process of professional training of philologists-to-be (information and communication condition); 4) ensuring in the process of professional training that philologists-to-be acquire professional experience (practical activity condition); 5) implementation of the basic theoretical and methodological approaches to the professional training of philologists-to-be and the values on which they are based in the educational process (axiological-methodological condition). The content and structure of the methodical system of professional training of philologists-to-be using modern information technologies as a practice-oriented model of implementation of previously substantiated scientific ideas, approaches, principles, methods and means of forming the professional competence of philologists-to-be using modern information technologies were developed and substantiated. The structure of the modeled methodical system consists of determinative, target, substantive, resource, and effective components. Forms and methods of implementing a methodical system of professional training of philologists-to-be by means of modern information technologies are highlighted: established (or traditional) and information technology ones (which include contensive, communication, creative, imitative, immersive and additional); examples of application in the process of learning Spanish by students of experimental groups are given. The effectiveness of the methodical system of professional training of philologists-to-be by means of modern information technologies was experimentally verified. The obtained experimental data confirmed the hypothesis of the study about the effectiveness of the proposed systemic changes regarding the introduction of modern information technologies in the process of professional training of philologists-to-be. The results of the experiment were checked using the methods of mathematical statistics (Fisher’s angular transformation criterion, sign test). The practical value of the dissertation is determined by the implementation of pedagogical conditions and a methodical system of professional training of philologists-to-be by means of modern information technologies; creation and implementation of a model of modern information technology support (electronic Spanish language textbook) in the process of professional training of philologists. The dissertation implements a system of criteria and indicators for diagnosing the level of effectiveness of the scientific-methodical system of professional training of philologists-to-be by means of modern information technologies.
