The mechanism and contents of labour stimulation in the transition economic period have been considered the theoretical regularities of functioning the mechanism of labour stimulation have been investigated. The methods of researches are theoretically-conceptual and emirically-analytical ones. The theoretical foundations of reforming the mechanism of labour stimulation in conditions of transition to the market have been cleared up. The recommendations of inculcating the mechanism of a variable tariff, a new scheme of additional staff rate of pay at the higher school, a new structure of salaries have been suggested.
