The dissertation is devoted to questions formation and operation of the Ukrainian military journalism, definition of its place and role in national liberation movement for formation of independent Ukraine. In work the role of military press in social-political life of a nation is opened, the problematics of publicistic performances is analysed, are intelligent and the primary goals of modern military mass media in construction of armed Forces of Ukraine are set up, their structure is presented.
