Makarchuk M. Role of the olfactory analyzer in brain integrative function

Olfactory analyser of macro- and microsmatics. Foundation of theory of its functioning under realization and autonomic support of behavioral reactions. Methods: electroencephalography, heart rate variability, psychophysiological testing, conditioned reflexes, testing of interspecies interaction and behavior in open field. Equipment: software for analysis of EEG, ECG and neurodinamical indices, stereotaxis, shuttle box, open field. It was found that olfactory analyser besides of only sensory functions fullfield nonsensory contribution in the integrative functioning of brain, that may be the basis for development of methods of diagnostic and correction of functional state of human organism. The results were applyed in educational courses of Ukrainian high schools and may be useful in physiology, medicine, ecology.
