Essay

The professional training of future specialists in Information, Library and Archival Studies is the research object. The research aim lies in theoretical substantiation and experimental effectiveness verification of the didactic conditions of integral pedagogical competence formation of a professional subject’s teacher within Information, Library and Archival Studies. The research methods: analysis and synthesis, modelling, generalization, systematization, survey, observation, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. For the first time the didactic conditions for using the integrative approach to professional training of specialists in Information, Library and Archival Studies have been determined and substantiated (integration of professions of future specialists in Information, Library and Archival Studies in the context of the competence approach, which provides for pedagogical competence development of professional subjects teachers; integration of professional competences in the context of the meta-subject approach, aimed at forming integral pedagogical competence of a professional subjects teacher by means of studying relevant meta-subjects; integration of the procedural aspect on the principles of environmental approach, which involves adaptation of the meta-subject in educational environment of professional activity of a professional subjects teacher, who is involved in the professional training of specialists in Information, Library and Archival Studies); professional training of future specialists in Information, Library and Archival Studies as a pedagogical problem has been analysed; the integrative approach as a means of improving the quality of professional training has been described and general scientific approaches to the professional training of future specialists in Information, Library and Archival Studies have been defined; the model of integral pedagogical competence formation of professional subjects teacher within Information, Library and Archival Studies has been developed and the levels of formation of their pedagogical competence have been determined. The notion ‘pedagogical competence’ of a teacher has been clarified and specified as for professional subject’s teacher within Information, Library and Archival Studies. The ideas concerning the formation of professional and pedagogical competences of professional subject’s teachers involved in the professional training of specialists in Information, Library and Archival Studies gained further development.
