The study presents the theoretical and methodological substantiation and the results of experimental testing of pedagogical conditions for the formation of professional readiness to future border guard officers for working with the personnel.
It has been established that the content of training border guard officers to work with the personnel is conditioned by the specifics of their future professional activity in modern conditions and covers the system of theoretical knowledge, practical skills and abilities that allow them to effectively perform this type of activity in subdivisions and bodies of state border protection.
The professional readiness of a border guard officer to work with the personnel is defined as a professionally important characteristic, covering a set of professional motives, knowledge, skills, abilities, psychological and pedagogical properties that allow to properly take organizational, moral, psychological, informational, pedagogical, legal, cultural -educational and social measures aimed at the formation and development of the personality of the serviceman and ensuring moral and psychological readiness of the personnel of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine to perform operational and service tasks under any circumstances. In the structure of this professional readiness, motivational-emotional, cognitive, activity, value-personal and reflexive components are highlighted.
The formed professional readiness of future border guard officers for working with the personnel can be assessed by five criteria that characterize the structural components of the readiness under study.
Professional readiness of future border guard officers for working with the personnel can be of three levels – low, medium and high.
The results of the pedagogical experiment, obtained with the help of empirical methods, have shown that there are significant resources in the educational process for the formation of professional readiness to future border guard officers for working with the personnel. This made it necessary to define and substantiate the pedagogical conditions for forming this readiness, as well as to check their effectiveness during the forming stage of the pedagogical experiment.
On the results of the analysis of scientific sources on pedagogy, psychology, philosophy and sociology, taking into account the provisions of axiological, competence, contextual, personality-oriented, activity and integrative approaches, relevance of the work with the personnel in the border department there have been defined the pedagogical conditions for the formation of professional readiness to future border guard officers for working with the personnel. These conditions are: selection and structuring of the content of academic disciplines taking into account the tasks and features of the work with the personnel in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine; development of skills and abilities to future border guard officers for working with the personnel; strengthening the motivation and value-reflexive attitude of future border guard officers to the work with the personnel; training scientific and pedagogical staff for the formation of skills and abilities of working with the personnel to future border guard officers.
The validity of reasonable pedagogical conditions was confirmed by the results obtained after the forming stage of the experiment. The methodology included influencing future border guard officers with a view to gradually form all the components of their professional readiness to work with personnel.
Taking into account the obtained results there have been worked out methodical recommendations to the scientific and pedagogical staff showcasing the main activities. In particular, it is recommended to adhere to the requirements of the axiological, personally oriented, competence, system, activity and integrated approaches; to structure the educational content of the material of academic disciplines in accordance with the peculiarities of working with the personnel; to create necessary educational environment, to ensure professional orientation of academic material for the formation of cognitive motives to cadets to work with the personnel; to familiarize them with their future professional activity and its social importance, to fully support their cognitive interests, to use contextual learning and modeling of professional situations on this basis in order to develop skills and abilities for working with the personnel to future border guard officers; to do situational-simulation modeling of professional activity of future border guard officers using subject and situational tasks, etc.
