The author of the dissertation has provided theoretical generalization and a new solution of the scientific problem, which consists in determining the essence and revealing the peculiarities of administrative and legal provision of the service in the Corps of Operative and Rapid Action of the National Police of Ukraine and the directions of its improvement taking into account national practice and international experience. The legal characteristic of the essence of the civil service in the system of legal relations is carried out, its concept, role and genesis of development, as well as features have been determined.
