Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the generalization and systematization of theoretical and methodological principles and the development of scientific and practical recommendations for the transformation of international commodity markets in conditions of reforming international trade policy. Improved the definition of the genesis of theories and research models of the international commodity markets transformations on the basis of logical and consistent evolution with regard to their relevance to modern architecture of international trade. The dissertation includes the author’s conceptual and categorical approach to research transformation processes in international commodity markets. The author improved the definition of the system of institutional support for the functioning of globalized commodity markets, which is proposed to include the following components: regulatory framework; functioning subjects of world commodity markets; tools that provide for the protection of domestic producers’ interests in both domestic and foreign markets; infrastructure of international commodity markets. The author improved the algorithm for studying the impact of international trade policy on structural changes in global commodity markets. The dissertation proposes the definition of determinants and triggers of transformation processes in international commodity markets, among which the following are dominating: institutional factors; production factors; market factors. The dissertation proposes to determine the system of causal relations and dependencies between indicators of macroeconomic policy, trade conditions, application of trade and political instruments of international trade regulation, implementation of which allows to determine the optimal level of tariff and non - tariff protection of national markets aiming to maximize the country’s foreign trade balance. In order to determine the dependence of the national commodity market’s transformation on the impact of changes in international trade policy, regression analysis revealed the degree of influence of the five major importing and exporting countries on the dependence of Ukraine’s foreign trade balance. The dissertation introduces an optimal model mechanism of national policy integration into international commodity markets, the purpose of which is targeted action of the state to optimize economic conditions of trade, by minimizing tariff and non-tariff trade barriers, lack of direct and covert mechanisms of export subsidies, simplification of trade control by means of using methods of trade policy formation, namely political and legal, economic.
