The dissertation focuses on the theoretical and practical aspects of developing a communal renewable energy market in the European Union (EU). It examines regional and national renewable energy support policies, evaluates the effectiveness of incentive mechanisms, and provides strategic recommendations for Ukraine’s integration into the European renewable energy market. As the world faces pressing challenges like environmental pollution and rising energy consumption, renewable energy has emerged as a priority for the global community, particularly in the EU. Wind, solar, and hydropower, among other alternative sources, are crucial for energy security and sustainable development in the EU. Creating a communal renewable energy market within the EU promotes the adoption of green technologies, fosters cooperation between member states, and enhances local and regional infrastructure. This aligns with the UN’s sustainable development goals, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve energy independence. Ukraine, as a strategic partner and EU candidate, seeks to integrate into the European renewable energy market and advance the modernization of its national energy sector.
