A significant attention is devoted to study of evolution of the theoretical discourse of digital transformation processes and identifying their essential content. The key directions of the theoretical basis modernization of economic science in the era of digitalization and the characteristics of the key forms of the digital divide manifestation in the global economy are substantiated.
