The problem of the formation of culture of interpersonal interaction among the students of pedagogical college during their professional training has been studied and a new approach to its solution has been proposed. The approach under consideration assumes the introduction of structural-and-functional model of the formation of culture of interpersonal interaction among the students of pedagogical college during their professional training.Author’s vision of the phenomenon “culture of interpersonal interaction of students of pedagogical college” is presented in the work. This phenomenon is defined as a personal entity, which is a component of both general and professional culture of an individual; it reflects the level of mastering of the system of viewpoints based on the awareness of essence, norms, values of interpersonal interaction, as well as on the models of professional communication accepted in educational environment. This entity is reflected first of all through the way of accomplishing of certain actions (informative-and-prognostic, cultural-and-cognitive, interactive) while ensuring personal development of future teachers as subjects of interpersonal interaction and contributing to their self-realization in social activity.The following components and criteria of culture of interpersonal interaction of students in the process of their professional training have been substantiated: axiological-and-motivational (the importance of and need in acquiring knowledge and skills, which contributes to effective interpersonal communication); cognitive (completeness, strength and nature of acquisition of knowledge related to the culture of interpersonal relations); activity-oriented (the level of acquisition of the unity of such skills: information-and-prognostic, cultural-and-communicative, interactive); personal (the level of emotional intellect, focus in communication, reflectivity in livelihoods). The essence of the levels of formation of the phenomenon under investigation (low, middle and high) as well as their substantive content have been unveiled.The outcomes of the research can be used to improve the existing system of pedagogical education at higher educational institutions. The study performed does not cover all the aspect of the solution of the problem of preparing of students of pedagogical college to their professional cultural-and-communicative activity. The perspective directions of further enquiries could be the study of the influence of different factors on positive results of the formation of culture of interpersonal interaction of students of pedagogical college in their study and extramural activity as well as the development of didactic materials which could ensure the process of the formation of the phenomenon under investigation.
