Batievskaya N. Improvement of the granulation technology in the production of mixed fodder.

The thesis is concerned with substantiating, theoretically and experimentally, some ways of improving the technology of manufacturing mixed fodder in the form of granulated crumb, to reduce energy consumption during its production and obtain mixed fodder of higher quality in the form of blended crumbs. The technology has been developed on the basis of the theoretical research and experiments, and has proved to be energy-efficient. It has been established that to produce mixed fodder in the form of granulated crumb by the traditional technology, a processing line consumes a total of 78.0 kW∙hr/t of electric energy. However, with the improved technology of granulated mixed fodder in the form of blended crumbs, a processing line only consumes 62,6 kW∙hr/t of electric energy, which proves its energy efficiency, since 15,4 kW∙hr/t is saved.
