The analysis of the definitions «training», «vocational training» enabled to characterize the philology teachers’ training as a specially organized process of acquiring professional knowledge, skills and behaviour patterns and development of socially significant, professional and personal qualities, including adaptability to Smart-technologies, which promotes the readiness for activity within the philological specialty.
