Varetska O. Strategies and Tactics of Criticism in Political Discourse of Germany and Ukraine (Instrumental-Phonetic Research)

The thesis is a comparative study of common and distinctive features of implementing the strategies and tactics of criticism on the verbal (lexical and syntactic) and paraverbal (prosodic and kinesic) levels of the political discourse in German and Ukrainian. The highlighting of instrumental phonetic approach to the study of the strategies and tactics of criticism in the political discourse of Germany and Ukraine is largely determined by the principles of contrastive linguistics, which considers the strategic and tactical organization of criticism phenomenon in the context of political communication. Namely, it is considered in relation to the communicative diversification of political discourse where different genres and types of texts combine typological features of individual languages (German, Ukrainian), pragmatic rules of separate linguistic cultures and national cultural codes and the universal forms of critical evaluation.
