Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the research of comorbid disorders in autism spectrum disorder in children, in particular sleep disorders, processing and integration of sensory information and self – regulation disorders. The first section presents an analysis of theoretical approaches to the study of autism spectrum disorder as a type of mental dysontogenesis, identifies the etiopathogenesis of autism spectrum disorder, psychological characteristics of children with autism spectrum disorder, analyzes current studies of foreign and domestic scientists on comorbid disorders, in particular sensory disorders sleep and self-regulation, their characteristics are determined in the above developmental disorders in children. The general and age features of the manifestation of comorbid disorders in the form of dysfunction of sensory integration, self-regulation and sleep disorders in children with autism spectrum disorder have been determined. Quantitative and qualitative differences in the indicators of comorbid disorders of children with autism spectrum disorder and children without such disorder (normative) in general and depending on age (preschool, primary school, adolescence) were revealed.
