The peculiarities of administrative and legal support of the state policy in counteracting prostitution are determined in the work, effective mechanisms of effective state control over prostitution are established. General theoretical approaches to defining the essence of the concept of "prostitution" and the determinants of prostitution are outlined. A historical review of the legislative regulation of state policy in combating prostitution has been carried out. An analysis of the current state of prostitution in the world and in Ukraine. Forms and methods of administrative and legal support of state policy in combating prostitution are determined. The administrative responsibility for prostitution is described. The analysis of foreign experience of legal support of legalization of prostitution and taxation of the income received from prostitution is carried out. Prospects for legalization of prostitution in Ukraine and directions of its administrative and legal support are formulated.
