Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the problem of formation of dialogical competence of junior schoolchildren by means of Ukrainian folklore. The relevance of the study results from the need to ensure the intensification of speech and communication development of primary schoolchildren. In this context, the goal of primary language education is topical – the formation of a national awareness-raising, spiritually enriched language and speech personality, who has the ability to use language tools in various fields and types of communicative activity. Legislative and normative documents (Law of Ukraine «On Higher Education», National Strategy for Education Development of Ukraine until 2021, Conception «New Ukrainian School», Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching and Assessment, State Standards of Primary, Basic and Complete Secondary Education) focus on this issue. The modern paradigm of language training of primary schoolchildren is characterized by various aspects of educational projects, including the formation of dialogic speech, which involves the development of basic skills of communicative behavior based on speech culture and communication ethics. Active involvement of folklore works in Ukrainian language lessons for the formation of dialogic competence activates the process of cognitive activity of schoolchildren, strengthens their motivation to learn, and provides an appropriate level of speech and communication.
