Essay

The thesis is devoted to solving the scientific problem of elucidating the psychological features of the trust of subordinate servicemen development to the commander in combat. The relevance of the thesis is due to current trends in the development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are the introduction into the system of their training and application of NATO principles and standards, the gradual transition to a professional basis, active search for new forms and methods of effective operations. The experience of the Anti-Terrorist Operation and the Joint Forces Operation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions shows that the outcome of combat missions by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine depends primarily on the moral and psychological condition of the personnel. According to research conducted by specialists of the Research Center for Humanitarian Problems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the practice of using troops (forces), it is determined that one of the dominant factors influencing the moral and psychological condition of servicemen in combat is the level of trust in military commanders. Despite the significant number of works devoted to the study of trust in interpersonal relations, the conditions of its emergence and patterns of functioning, most scholars ignore the issue of trust in the system of relations «commander – subordinate». Formalization and subordination in the professional activities of servicemen determine the social and psychological features of interpersonal relations, the study of which will expand the range of methods and means of constructive psychological influence of military leaders on organizational processes, provide conditions for more effective military units. The scientific novelty of the received results lies in the following: for the first time the psychological features of the development of trust in the system of relations «commander – subordinate» in combat conditions are substantiated; the semantic characteristics of the structural components of the subordinate servicemen trust to the commander of the servicemen of the tactical level unit in combat conditions are determined and empirically established; developed and tested a method of assessing the level of trust in the commander (chief), the purpose of which is to diagnose the relationship of trust in the system «subordinate – commander (chief)»; developed and tested a program to develop the ability to build relationships of trust with subordinate servicemen for commanders of military units of the tactical level; there were improved diagnostic evaluation instrument for assessing interpersonal relationships of servicemen in military units under the conditions of subordination, which contributes to better and more meaningful individual and group assessment of subordinates of their commanders (chiefs), the program of psychological training of servicemen due to relations of trust with subordinate servicemen for commanders of military units of the tactical level; further development was given the idea of the essence of trust as a social and psychological attitude, the role and place of trust in interpersonal relations, the formation and development of trust in the relationship of servicemen under conditions of subordination in everyday and combat conditions.
