Essay

The dissertation presents for the first time a scientific understanding of the problem of educating of the self-concept of primary school children in extracurricular activities in the institutions of general Secondary Education, which is manifested in the justification of the pedagogical conditions of the process under study, the development of forms and methods of educating of the self-concept. The criteria for establishing the level of education of the Self-concept of younger schoolchildren in extracurricular activities (cognitive, emotional-value, volitional and behavioral) are defined, which reflect the corresponding components of the Self-concept of younger schoolchildren. Each of these criteria has indicators that reveal their essence in more detail and complement each other. Based on this, the levels of the Self-concept development in the Primary School students in extracurricular activities (low, medium, high) are characterized. It is established that the self-concept of the Primary School students is a component of the personality that develops dynamically in the process of educational activities. The pedagogical conditions for educating of the Self-concept of younger schoolchildren in extracurricular activities are defined, namely: improving the pedagogical culture of parents regarding the education of the Self-concept of younger schoolchildren; preparing teachers for the education of the Self-concept of younger schoolchildren; and developing and implementing the training "Know Yourself", aimed at educating the Self-concept of younger schoolchildren (increasing the amount of information about the Self, forming persistance, positive self-esteem, morality and spiritual values).
