Harkavyi Y. Strategic communications as an instrument for reaching the capacities of the defense forces of Ukraine

The topicality of the research is determined by the necessity for a theoretical understanding of the phenomenon of strategic communications, their place and role in the system of ensuring the national defense capability, the need to improve and optimize the mechanisms for implementing strategic communications in terms of gaining capabilities of the defense forces of Ukraine. The active development of information technologies, the deepening of the processes of globalization and informatization, the change in ideological paradigms, along with the ongoing armed and information aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine stipulate the necessity of the acquisition of such capabilities of the defense forces of Ukraine that will meet the practices and principles of the NATO member states and will provide information security and achieve the strategic goals of defense of Ukraine. The experience of conducting and resolving modern military conflicts has shown the effectiveness of a new fundamental toolbox for coordinating information and communication activities of the defense forces – a system of strategic communications.
