For the first time, the dissertation substantiates the pedagogical conditions of future physical education teachers’ training for the formation pupil's values-based attitude towards their own health (formation of future physical education teachers’ values to health, development of the need for a healthy lifestyle based on creating a healthy environment; actualization of students’ knowledge about strengthening the health of pupils, activation of their individual health activity through updating the content and improving the organizational process of their training; holistic inclusion of students in health care activities at the personal and professional levels by means of health protection technologies).
A model of future physical education teachers’ training for the formation pupil’s values-based attitude towards their own health has been developed and tested, which covers the following blocks: methodological and target (purpose, approaches, principles), content and technological (stages, content, forms, methods, technologies, means), efficient and resultative (diagnostic instrumentarium, criteria, levels, result).
The criteria of readiness and indicators of future physical education teachers for the formation pupil’s values-based attitude towards their own health are specified: motivational and value (values-based attitude to health, health protection, a healthy lifestyle in relation to professional activities; values-based attitude to the health of pupils and their own health, awareness of health as a value, the ability to realize their health needs in specific activities, the formation of positive attitudes and values, beliefs in the need for a healthy life for self-improvement, self-affirmation, for the realization of life and professional goals; the effectiveness of conation for the manifestation of health in practice, the formation of qualities that characterize the psycho-emotional stability of the individual: endurance, tact, friendliness, accuracy and diligence in health promotion); cognitive and semantic (professional and pedagogical knowledge (about individual and public health, health as a pedagogical problem; forms, methods, self-diagnostic function, preservation of health, health protection, its consistency, stability, scientific character; ability to defend one’s beliefs, views, ideals; awareness of the social significance of health; the desire to independent search for information on the problem of health protection; ability to find non-standard forms, ways, creative solutions to health protection problems; about occupational health and ways to preserve it; common factors of child development; about health protection technologies; about health protection activities system of the educational institution), focused on the health protection of children in the educational process, erudition in educating a healthy lifestyle, information awareness, knowledge of methodological principles of health protection at school, its nature and specifics, special aspects of the use, etc., the ability to make decisions and the ability to use techniques to solve unusual situations and problems); pragmatist and reflexive (controlling the skills (to assess physical culture and health work, exercise load, daily routine of pupils, etc.; to make efficient use of means and forms of physical education; to monitor the dynamics of basic physical qualities, etc.), a set of techniques and methods to achieve health protection goals).
