Essay

The study presents the results of the theoretical analysis and experimental research on the current scientific and pedagogical problem of preparing future musical art teachers for the formation of schoolchildren’s national culture by means of folk song creativity. The practical solution of the specified problem through realization of the proposed author’s methodology as an effective means of transformation of future musical art teachers’ representations about possibilities and potential of national song creativity in forming schoolchildren’s national culture is substantiated. The personal and professional contexts of the future musical art teachers’ national culture in their relationship are revealed; the process and result of future mastering of national cultural achievements by musical art teachers are extrapolated to the vector of music-pedagogical activity. The purpose of the study is to substantiate theoretically, develop, test experimentally and implement methodology of preparing future musical art teachers for the formation of schoolchildren’s national culture by means of folk song creativity. The component structure of future musical art teachers’ preparation for the formation of schoolchildren’s national culture by means of national song creativity is substantiated. On the basis of the offered scientific approaches (artistic-worldview, creative-activity, ethnopedagogical, methodological-praxeological) the following pedagogical principles are developed: personal-semantic attitude to preservation of national culture, cultural conformity of artistic-creative activity of applicants, interiorization of experience of mastering figurative semantics of folk songs, innovative orientation of methodological training. Pedagogical conditions and corresponding methods are developed. The step-by-step methodology of preparing future musical art teachers for the formation of schoolchildren’s national culture by means of folk song creativity is substantiated and experimentally checked. The main educational resource is the course “Methods of music education and upbringing” and teaching practice in junior and middle grades of general secondary education institutions. The molding experiment took place in three stages: motivational-regulatory, artistic-content, innovative-activity. The expediency of introducing pedagogical conditions and the effectiveness of the used methodological tools is confirmed by the obtained results of the molding experiment and statistical data processing according to Fisher’s criteria φ*.
