In the thesis work the theoretical and methodological substantiation and experimental check of formation of art-therapeutic competence of future teachers of musical art in the course of professional preparation are carried out. A new solution to the problem of forming the competence of future music teachers in the use of art therapy in pedagogical practice is proposed. During the scientific research the conceptual and terminological essence of arttherapeutic competence of future teachers of music art is investigated. An attempt is made to overcome the existing terminological uncertainty through the ordering and unification of the conceptual apparatus, defining the boundaries of the terminological field.
