Essay

The thesis is devoted to the guitar art of the Mykolaiv region as a component of the modern cultural and artistic space of Ukraine. The scientific task of the dissertation is to reveal the unique features of the Mykolaiv guitar school in the context of development of modern Ukrainian and European guitar art. Guitar art of the Mykolaiv region is considered as a holistic phenomenon where various components interact organically: compositional creativity – performance – tools – teaching guitar playing – musicological reflection – concert-festival project activity. The guitar works of Mykolaiv composers: V. Zadoyanov, V. Korshunov, L. Panteleimonov, O. Fedotko have been analyzed. Their originality and expediency in the educational process for the acquisition of competencies by professional performers and future teachers have been proved. A number of works by Kyiv composer Valery Antonyuk have been written especially for Mykolayiv guitar groups: "Festive Dance" for the ensemble "Classic Guitar" and "Adagio" for solo guitar and chamber orchestra, dedicated to the first performers – Victoria Zhadko and the chamber orchestra "Ars – Nova". The repertoire content of the Mykolaiv guitar performance includes compositions of the Ukrainian and foreign authors from baroque to avant-garde. For the first time the unique features of guitar performance of the Mykolaiv region have been defined and the main stages of its development in view of the transformational processes occurring in modern culture, art and education have been outlined. The issue of changes in the guitar art has been determined by the new socio-cultural and educational conditions of recent decades. The substantiation of modern cultural, artistic and educational principles is based on the theory of socio-cultural design, where the priority is innovative educational and professional training of specialists in the innovative educational and professional program "Instrumental Art. Guitar"(based on the example of guitar classes of educational art institutions of Mykolaiv region, including inclusive education) with the obligatory activation of computer technologies. A number of artistic events have been established in Mykolaiv, testifying to the emergence of a new vector of development of guitar performance focused on Western European traditions: the international guitar art festival "Vivat Guitara!", the all-Ukrainian educational art project "Guitar Corporation", organized by V. Sologub and the author of the dissertation . Bands and soloists from different regions of Ukraine and world-famous foreign performers took part in them. Some works performed in the festival programs "Vivat Guitara!" were presented in Ukraine for the first time, in particular the guitar concert of Ferdinando Carulli in E minor "Petit Concerto de Société" op. 140 and guitar concerto with orchestra e-moll op. 56 Francesco Molino. Within the limits of the Mykolaiv festivals and competitions many master classes of playing the classical guitar which are carried out by foreign and domestic experts take place. Among the Ukrainian performers there are representatives of different regions: O. Boyko (Chernihiv), B. Belsky (Kyiv), V. Dotsenko (Kharkiv), V. Zhadko (Kyiv), V. Palamarchuk (Drohobych), S. Radzetsky and Y. Radzetsky. (Dnipro). Invited guests – leading guitarists from around the world, including V. Doychinovich (Serbia), G. Guillen Navarro (Venezuela), D. Pavlovits (Hungary), H. W. Kaufmann (Germany), I. Shoshin (Belarus), F. Optolovich (Poland), G. Inozemtseva, E. Finkelstein (Russia) – share their experience in master classes. Art and design activity of Mykolaiv is also marked by other modern creative and educational events whose purpose is the growing interest in classical guitar. Hans Wilhelm Kaufmann, a professor at the Bremen School of the Arts, led a large-scale guitar flashmob of 245 guitarists in a single orchestra. Since 2020, the festival and competition movement has undergone significant transformations that have been due to time. Online competitions and performances of participants are organized by foreign and Ukrainian institutions. Modern guitar festivals operate according to the laws of artistic and communication and are characterized by scale and social orientation. Guitar art of the Mykolaiv region now demonstrates the originality of all components of the music system, accompanied by updating training programs for performers, which is in line with the leading trends in Western Europe, creating an original guitar repertoire, organizing powerful cultural and artistic projects.
