Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of intercultural interaction between China and the West, the result of which was the development of integrative processes that influenced the formation and further development of the national Chinese violin school. In the context of historical and musicological analysis, the work examines the process of the introduction of the violin into the cultural space of China and the historical stages of the development of the professional violin school through the prism of the integration of European traditions. The analysis of the arsenal of scientific works related to the presented the ways of formation and significant achievements of certain professional music schools in China – piano, vocal, partly brass, and the lack of research on the development of violin art from the point of view of integrating European traditions into it prompted the study of the outlined issues. Modern violin art is an integral part of the national musical culture of China; however, in scientific opinion, the study of 11the core problem – the path of integration of European traditions into it, which contributed to bringing Chinese violin art to the level of the most outstanding world musical achievements - remains not elucidated. This plane of research of Chinese professional musical culture needs a special scientific understanding. The presented work becomes even more important not only in the sense of the first study of the declared key problem – the integration of the traditions of the leading European schools, in particular Italian, German, Czech, Hungarian, French, etc., into the violin school of China, but also in the first study and proof of an important role in in this process of performing and pedagogical traditions of violinists from Ukraine, and therefore – in the reproduction of the picture of the development of the national musical culture of China in all the variety of its manifestations and professional achievements.
