Yang C. Economic Support System for the Library Activities in China

The thesis is concerned with the development of theoretical and methodological and organizational principles of forming a system of balanced economic support of libraries in China. The paper proves the necessity of balanced economic support of the libraries of China by enhancing their corporate network cooperation as the basis of rational distribution and use of the resource and infrastructure subsystems of libraries. The author argues that the system of economic support of libraries is a set of their economic resources and organizational and managerial infrastructure, interconnected by the implementation processes of the library production functions. The author describes the state of the regulatory framework for supporting the system of balanced economic support of libraries in China, defines its advantages and improvement reserves. The comparative analysis of the current Chinese and international standards on defining the criteria and indicators of an estimation of efficiency of library activities in terms of digitalization of library branch is conducted.
