Zaklinska Y. Publishing Activity of Scientific Libraries of Ukraine in Electronic Communication Space

The thesis is a comprehensive study of the peculiarities of publishing activity of scientific libraries of Ukraine in the modern electronic communication space. The strategic directions of increasing its efficiency are determined and the innovative model of further development in the conditions of technological (digital) and analytical-cognitive (semantic) convergence of the library sphere of Ukraine is offered. A systematic idea of the publishing activity of scientific libraries of Ukraine as an independent socio-communicative scientific-practical direction of professional activity, aimed at full and prompt satisfaction of information needs and requests of users-scientists with exclusive intellectual products of library production, presented in printed and electronic formats. The objective necessity of official recognition of the status of scientific libraries of Ukraine as self-sufficient and original publishing libraries, which for many centuries professionally provide an unfilled niche of the domestic publishing system, adding to the national and world information and publishing space original, systematized, verified, optimized development of domestic science, personalized free and widely available with the help of modern information and communication technologies to a large number of own and remote users of their intellectual publishing products.
