The thesis is a historical and pedagogical research of aesthetic education of children and youth by means of fine arts in out-of-school establishments of Transcarpathia in the XX - XXI centuries to determine promising areas of use of the aesthetic education experience by means of fine arts in the modern conditions of reforming out-of-school education. The historiography of the problem of aesthetic education by means of fine arts in out-of-school institutions of Transcarpathia in the XX-XXI centuries has been revealed, the main definitions of aesthetic education of children and youth by means of fine arts of the studied period have been substantiated. "Aesthetic education of children and youth by means of the fine arts" by which we mean purposeful process of influencing: awareness of the understanding of the essence and role of the means of the fine arts in the process of education; the formation of aesthetic tastes of a person by means of fine arts, a creative person according to the laws of beauty; development of artistic taste and perception; the ability to see, feel, understand beauty by means of fine arts; the formation of the ability to create beautiful things in art. The peculiarities of the educational process organization on the problem of aesthetic education by means of fine arts in out-of-school institutions of Transcarpathia in accordance with the periods defined by us have been investigated. The content, forms, methods of educational work on aesthetic education by means of fine arts in out-of-school institutions of Transcarpathia have been revealed by comparative analysis of curricula, study programs of different periods, study of reporting documentation, experience of out-of-school education establishments where fine arts departments functioned (questionnaires, interviews with teachers, parents). Has summarized the results of professional and creative activity of pedagogical workers of out-of-school institutions of Transcarpathia on the problem of aesthetic education by means of fine arts. The prospects for using the research results in the modern conditions of reforming out-of-school education in Ukraine have been determined (filling the content component of artistic and creative education with local history, regional, multicultural, cultural-creative aspects, the use of integrative, interdisciplinary approaches, interactive methods in teaching art subjects; wide use of plein-airs, excursions, virtual excursions using modern ICT, contests, exhibitions, meetings with famous artists of Transcarpathia and Ukraine and professional orientation, conducting regional scientific and practical seminars for teachers of art circles, studios, schools, attracting pupils to participate in volunteer actions, creative projects of public initiative, etc.).
