Stepanov V. The Linguosynergetic Aspect of the POLITICS Concept with in the Modern American English Discourse

Research object: the POLITICS concept. Research topic: reconstruction of the POLITICS concept dynamic ontology via the field model form within the cognitive and synergetic dimensions of the modern American English. Research purpose: reproduction of the modern POLITICS concept ontology dynamics as unstable revaluable information within today's American mind, which (from the cognitive-synergetic perspective) is visualized as a classical field model (core - close - far - extreme periphery); it is objectified through correspondent lingual resources. Research results: 1. POLITICS is a dynamically considered concept. The consideration itself is revealed as a stable empirical accumulation of governing knowledge with its self-similar periodical conscious revaluation. Thus, POLITICS is interpreted as mental dynamic information about political events whose verbal name represents a collective empirical unity of individual contacts with the material world, describes the attitude to it and holds the society progress. 2. Principles of human thinking are verbalized within the language. So, dynamically accumulated and revalued features of the POLITICS concept are visually reproduced as a model (eg the field one) whose structure and content are derived from the lingual resource analysis. Such a concept dynamism model can be generated according to relevant linguistic methodology (via the network and matrix formats within the cognitive and synergetic dimensions). 3. Concerning the linguistic analysis within the cognitive and synergetic aspects of the USA mind, the POLITICS concept is dynamically revalued as a change of views on pragmatical governing (with the ambition to achieve the best welfare). This is the main cause of its self-similar evolution. 4. The POLITICS concept synergism is observed from the structure and content perspectives. In such circumstances, the whole concept system is self-organized with keeping regular sequences. Application sphere: 1. Compiling new philology curricula (courses: "Methodology of linguistic studies", "Corpus linguistics", "Discourse theory", "Linguistic semantics", "Linguistic pragmatics", "Cognitive linguistics", "Linguosynergeitcs", etc). 2. The implemented methodology of the POLITICS concept research can be used to develop new curricula in politology, sociology, psychology and other social sciences (along with clarifying research results in the given branches).
