Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the problem of the peculiarities of the creativity influence on the subjective well-being of teachers of foreign languages of higher education institutions. The dissertation research object is the foreign languages teachers’ creativity as a psychological phenomenon and the subject - the peculiarities of the influence of higher education institutions foreign languages teachers’ creativity on their subjective well-being. The study purpose has been to provide a theoretical justification and experimental study of the nature, components of creativity and the peculiarities of its impact on the subjective well-being of teachers of foreign languages of higher education institutions. Objectives of the study: 1) to identify the main scientific approaches to the study of creativity of the individual in general and teachers of foreign languages in particular; 2) to substantiate the essence, content and components of creativity of foreign languages teachers and its impact on their subjective well-being; 3) to empirically investigate the features and factors of creativity of teachers of foreign languages of higher education institutions and its impact on subjective well-being; 4) to develop and test the program of development of creativity of teachers of foreign languages as a factor of their subjective well-being. The scientific novelty of the work is that here the author: for the first time:  the essence of foreign languages teachers’ creativity is defined as personal property, an internal resource that enables creative and innovative activities aimed at producing and generating original (non-trivial) ideas and approaches to learning foreign languages, the desire to develop both their creativity and the creativity of students in teaching foreign languages;  the content, components (value, cognitive and behavioural), criteria (value attitude to constructive transformation of reality; understanding and awareness of the essence of creativity and peculiarities of teaching foreign languages; effectiveness in the implementation of creativity in professional activities) individual-psychological and organizational-professional factors of creativity of foreign languages teachers are substantiated;  features of the influence of creativity of teachers of foreign languages on their subjective well-being are revealed;  the program of development of creativity of teachers of foreign languages as a factor of their subjective well-being is theoretically substantiated and tested; deepened knowledge about the teachers’ creativity and the specifics of its manifestation in teachers of foreign languages, psychological approaches to the study of teacher’s creativity and subjective well-being etc; provisions on the subjective well-being of the individual, psychological conditions for the development of creativity and psychological features of foreign languages teachers are of further development.
