Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of a topical scientific and applied issue of microeconomic determinants influence on the development of small and medium businesses in Ukraine. For this purpose, the scientific and methodological foundations have been studied and systematized, the assessment, analysis and the impact of microeconomic determinants on the development of small and medium businesses in Ukraine have been evaluated and practical recommendations have been advanced for its activation. It is determined that important microeconomic determinants and in general the main capital of small and medium business is the possession of information, special knowledge and skills, i. e. business should be informational because information is a catalyst for economic development, so the cost of informatization should continue to grow. Informatization also plays an important role in shaping the business environment, so it covers not only the installation of modern computer hardware and software, but also new tools that aim to greatly facilitate doing business such as electronic document management, electronic signature, electronic payments, electronic banking, etc. An important tool for the development of small and medium business in Ukraine is promoting self-regulatory instruments, which remain a new but important area of microeconomic determinants action through the mechanism of business selfregulation. Entrepreneurs can work together to influence the advancement of democracy, economic opportunities and social justice, which is most often manifested through independent and voluntary associations of business entities – business associations. Any positive changes in the field of business development are impossible without the initiative of entrepreneurs and the most important feature of business associations is that their activities are carried out to protect the rights of entrepreneurs and society.
