The relevance of the research topic is due to the huge impact that globalization has on the culture of society as a whole and on the stylistic principles of individual musical creativity. Having emerged at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, globalizing processes have almost completely changed the cultural map of the world today, erasing the borders that until recently clearly delineated the cultural patterns of different peoples and allowed easy identification of the artifact on the principle of “one's own - another's”. Combined with the active introduction of technology in all spheres of human being, globalization has significantly affected the musical art, considerably reducing the importance of the national factor in the development and formation of individual performing style. A striking example of this is the work of Chinese vocalists, whose contribution to the development of musical art of the XX – XXI centuries could hardly be overestimated. Numerous victories at prestigious international competitions, participation in opera performances of the world's leading theaters, the phenomenon of Chinese belcanto – these facts undoubtedly illustrate the status of Chinese performing vocal culture in the modern art world and indicate the need for serious discussion of the current situation by the scientific community. The concept of the study has led to the systematization of scientific sources in the following areas of music science: history and theory of music, theory of genre and style, musical cultural studies, European and Chinese vocal art. The chosen methodology, based on a combination of art history, interpretological and culturological approaches, allowed to: compare the history of scientific knowledge of the phenomenon of vocal style in Western European and Chinese art history; identify the impact of the verbal component of vocal art on the stylistic parameters of the work of Chinese performers; identify national and international factors that led to the transformation of academic vocal art in China in the XX – XXI centuries; generalize information about the history of the formation of Chinese academic vocal school; form creative portraits of modern Chinese vocalists; analyze the performance versions of prominent Chinese singers. In the thesis for the first time: the academic vocal art of modern China is presented as an artistic integrity formed by the interaction of national and international factors; the phenomenon of Chinese belcanto, the emergence of which led to the process of globalization, is presented; the parameters of individual performing style that are transformed in the work of Chinese singers under the influence of the process of globalization are determined. The dissertation highlights the process of historical formation of scientific ideas about style as a phenomenon of Western European and Chinese art. The phenomenon of creative style was understood by the philosophers of ancient Greece and China, and even then it was associated with the worldview of man. Differences in the further interpretation of the concepts that unite around the most general category of style depend on the development of certain cultural patterns. For example, if in the East the phenomenon of style was perceived mainly as a fundamental part of the ethical, in the West – the aesthetic (although both levels are present in both cultures). However, under the influence of globalizing processes, the national component of stylistic processes is gradually leveled. The history of the transformation of China's vocal art is extremely short compared to the previous stage of its development. In fact, it is about 100 years that have radically changed the national system of music education and upbringing. The success of this process is due to several factors: concert/touring activity of foreign singers; activity of Chinese artists aimed at disseminating and comprehending European cultural experience; accumulation of the corresponding scientific and methodical base and development of the national invariant of educational programs; development of concert performance and musical life as a system formed by the interaction of different types of music making; using technical means of communication. All this has led to an increasing the share of Western European music in China's sound landscape, “accustomed” listeners to unusual music, changed the stylistic priorities of bearers of national traditions and determined a gradual change of the whole country's musical culture system, which today is almost identical to other systems. This, especially in recent decades, has been facilitated by globalization, which has greatly expanded the access to other countries' cultural products and simplified cultural migration. Thanks to this, Chinese musicians master the world music art in educational institutions around the world, participate in international competitions, perform on the best stages, cooperate with recording companies.
