Pliasun O. Linguistic modeling of the image of Ukraine in media

The dissertation analyzes the linguistic specifics of modeling the image of Ukraine in modern Ukrainian and world media space. The research was conducted within the framework of an innovative linguistic direction – linguistic imageology, which nowadays forms a neolinguistic scientific search. The scientific work identifies the prospects for the development of media linguistic imageology – an innovative media linguistic paradigm devoted to the study of linguistic features of image construction in modern media. In the dissertation research the author for the first time determines the linguistic resource of image strategies of Ukraine used in modern mass media; analyzes the language resource of image-forming potential of Ukrainian precedent nominations in media communication; investigates models and functional potential of the stylistic resource of the Ukrainian language in the process of constructing the image of Ukraine, etc., which forms the scientific novelty of the work.
