Essay

The object of research is the educational system of Ukraine in the conditions of political repressions of 1920-1930. The subject of the study is the problems of school and higher education in Ukraine in the 1920s and 1930s, caused by political repression. The purpose of the study is to identify the problems of school and higher education in the implementation of the policy of political repression in Ukraine in 1920-1930, as well as to typify the mechanisms, forms and methods of political persecution. The scientific novelty of the research results is that for the first time a set of problems of school and higher education in the conditions of political repressions of the Soviet totalitarian system (ideological domination, overload of socio-political component, propaganda of struggle and persecution of "enemies of the people"). educational process, reducing the quality of education, etc.). In particular, in the course of the research the peculiarities of the educational process in educational institutions of Ukraine in the context of "fighting the enemies of the people" were considered, the ideological and pedagogical component of substantiation of repressions of educators by means of propaganda and accusations employees of school and higher education. The study clarifies the features of the functioning of higher and school education in the context of political repression. Scientific ideas about the stages of historiographical coverage of problems on the basis of system-chronological and hermeneutic approaches and the specifics of the source base as a synthesis of published and unpublished sources were further developed. The practical significance of scientific results is that the conclusions and materials of the study can be aimed at improving the content and organization of the educational process in higher education and secondary schools of Ukraine, to combat various forms and manifestations of violence, discrimination, harassment. The actual historical and pedagogical material, theoretical provisions and conclusions of the dissertation can be used during the preparation and teaching of courses on general pedagogy, history of pedagogy, when writing term papers, dissertations, master's theses; in further scientific research on the history of pedagogy and compiling textbooks and manuals for higher education.
