Object of the thesis research: the phenomenon of guidance in the Ukrainian educational system of the XVIII–XXI centuries. The scientific novelty of the study results: for the first time there have been done the systematic pedagogical research of the actual problem of the domestic pedagogical science; there have been defined the Ukrainian ethnic autochthonous character of the guidance and there have been initiated the scientific hermeneutic discourse of the notion «guide» and «guidance in education»; for the first time there have been suggested by the author defining the concepts «guidance» and «guidance in education»; there have been studied definitive, phenomenal features of the guides of education; for the first time there have been worked out and suggested the main organizational and semantic formats of guiding activity; there have been studied the character of phenomenally and sacrifice of guidance of education; for the first time there have been done the attempt of methodologization of the ideas of guidance in education. The notions of «The Guidance» and «The Guidance in Education» and their English transcription were identified to scientific and pedagogical usage. General characteristic of the study is historical and pedagogical approach. This study founds out that the Ukrainian society and national education is the result of previous history, the point of intersection of different and arguable tendencies from the past through the present into the future. There have been used different methodological approaches for the dissertation study: systemic, paradigmatic, historical, culturological, civilizational, anthropological, axiological, territorial, hermeneutic and phenomenological.
