Lototska O. Technological basis of restoration of the alabaster works in architecture and art

The dissertation carries out an important scientific and practical task - to identify structural features and develop the technological basis of restoration of the alabaster works in architecture and art. The conclusions concerning the state of research of alabaster works in Ukraine and abroad are drawn. The content of the main notions used in the dissertation is shown. As a result of the research, the main requirements and recommendations for restoration are formed, which can achieve the following goals: predict the effects of materials for cleaning, strengthening and protection, design a sequence of restoration processes, provide high-quality conditions for preservation, prevent destruction after restoration of alabaster works. The dissertation presents the organization of the restoration technology of alabaster works in the form of models for the restoration of aesthetic qualities, stabilization of the technical condition and for minimal interference in the monument. They make it possible to outline the directions of restoration at different stages of destruction and under different conditions of storage and future use of the work.
