The dissertation proves the problem of formation of professional competences of future physical therapists and occupational therapists; the theoretical bases of the specified problem are revealed, the essence and structure of professional culture of future physical and occupational therapists are described;the model and organizational and pedagogical conditions of its formation in the course of professional preparation are substantiated and experimentally tested; developed and trained the methodical support of this process.
Based on the analysis of scientific sources, it is established that the formation of professional culture of future physical therapists and occupational therapists in the process of professional training is a purposeful influence on the future specialist in order to form values, professional motivation, professional knowledge, professional skills, professionally significant qualities,skills and abilities to reflection and self-development in order to ensure effective therapeutic activities.
As a result of interdisciplinary research for the problem of professional culture of future physical therapists and occupational therapists from the point of cultural, axiological, competence, personal, pragmatic, system and methodological approaches, basic concepts are revealed and it is stated that the phenomenon of “professional culture of physical therapist and occupational therapist”is a part of the categorical field of such concepts as“culture”–“culture of personality”–“culture of activity”–“professional culture”.
In the process of definitive analysis, the author’s interpretation of the concept of “professional culture of physical therapists and occupational therapists” is proved, which is considered as an integrated characteristic of a specialist reflection and self-development.
The structure of professional culture of physical therapists and occupational therapists is shown, which is presented through a set of interconnected components as value-motivational, cognitive-activity, personal-communicative, analytical-reflexive.
To establish the level in formation of professional culture of future physical therapists and occupational therapists in the process of professional training for each component criteria are defined (system of value orientations, professional motivation, professional knowledge, professional skills, professionally significant qualities, communication skills, ability to reflect and self-reflection to evaluate therapeutic activity and corresponding indicators.
The levels of formationin professional culture of future physical therapists and occupational therapists in the process of professional training (adaptive, reproductive, productive, integrative) are determined. It is established that the transition from the previous to the next level of the professional culture of a physical therapist and occupational therapist formation is due to quantitative and qualitative changes in the content of the studied phenomenoncomponents.
According to the results of the ascertaining research, the insufficient level in formation of professional culture of future physical therapists and occupational therapists in the traditional system of professional training in higher education was identified, which led to the need to develop and experimentally test the model and organizational and pedagogical conditions for professional culture of future physical therapists and occupational therapistsinthe professional trainingprocess.
The experimental modelfor formation of professional culture of future physical and occupational therapists in the process of professional training is investigated, which contains four interconnected blocks i.e. target, methodological, content and technological, effective. The target block includes the purpose, formation tasks for professional culture of future physical therapists and occupational therapists. The methodological block contains methodological approaches (axiological, cultural, systemic, competence, personal, acmeological) and principles of the professional culture formation (scientific, systematic, continuity, mobility, diversification; direction of educational process on therapeutic and restorative activity; professional activity implementation on the basis of reflexes). The content and technological block of the model is basic and includescontent, forms, methods, organizational and pedagogical conditions for formation of professional culture of future specialists and stages of this processrealization i.e. introductory-stimulating, educational-productive, generalizing-corrective stage. The effective block reflects the formation of each structural component of the professional culture of future physical therapists and occupational therapists, criteria and levels.
