Voronych M. Geoeconomic prospects for the development of agricultural sector

Purpose: to provide theoretical and methodological substantiation and to develop promising directions of the development of the agricultural sector of the economy in the context of geoeconomic transformations and intensified globalization. Object: the process of the development of the agricultural sector of the economy in the context of geoeconomic transformations. Methods of research: abtract-logical, monographic, historical and economic, statistical and economic, particularly the method of descriptive statistics, cluster analysis and DEA-analysis. Theoretical results: creation of the basis for further development of theoretical and methodological foundations as well as practical recommendations regarding the development of the agricultural sector of the economy in the context of geoeconomic transformations and intensified globalization. Practical results: development of the tools that can be used to manage the development of the agricultural sector of the economy in the context of geoeconomic transformations. Scientific novelty: a conceptual approach to the development of the agricultural geoeconomic system has been developed. The approach is presented as a functional model. On the one hand, the model takes into account input (resources) and output parameters (effects formed as a result of resource transformation at micro-, meso- and macro-levels), parameters, structural components (elements of creating a value chain), the external environment, regulatory tools and mechanisms. On the other hand, it is based on the principle of optimum utilization of resource potential and on ensuring the maximum effect of the strengthening the country’s competitive position globally. The degree of implementation: Kharytonivka rural amalgamated community in Zhytomyr oblast; ELEVATOR PROM GROUP LLC; Polissia University. Efficiency: the results of the research contribute to the development of the agricultural sector of the economy in the context of geoeconomic transformations and intensified globalization. Sphere of use: Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, entities engaged in the agricultural sector of the economy, territorial communities, scientific institutions of NAAS of Ukraine, higher educational establishments specializing in economics.
