The paper focuses on the issue of forming the readiness of future speech therapists-teachers to use scaled physical exercises in professional activity. Basing on the review of scientific and scientific-methodological sources, sustained by the results of the pilot research project, readiness of future speech therapists-teachers to use scaled physical exercises in professional activity is defined as an essential constituent of their professional competence and is referred to as both a result and an integral entity that encompasses motivation, cognition, personality and activity components and is supported by using scaled physical exercises with respect to child’s age, speech disorders etiology and degree, providing the opportunity to organize and perform correction and development of children with speech disorders in order to effectively overcome (or lessen) those, as well as to integrate the knowledge and skills mastered during professional training at higher education institution, together with personal abilities and professional experience into working with the above-referred-to category of children. The author presents a devised structural-functional model of developing the readiness of future speech therapists-teachers to use scaled physical exercise, that comprises three clusters. Cluster 1: theoretical-methodological basis of the nurturing the readiness of future speech therapists-teachers to use scaled physical exercises in professional activity: methodological approaches (system, pro-active, interdisciplinary, learner-centered, orthogenetic), components (motivation, cognition, personality, activity), principles (general didactic, special, inclusive learning, special pedagogics, physical education). Cluster 2: organization-content, that comprises scientific-methodological basis of the formation of future speech therapists-teachers’ readiness to use scaled physical exercise in professional activity, methods, forms and realization tools synthesis. Cluster 3: criteria-analytical, that highlights the criteria (motivation, cognition, personality, activity) and levels of the readiness formed (insufficient, reproductive, reconstructive, creative).
