Essay

The dissertation describes the theoretical-methodological foundations of the study of political-legal consciousness of voters in the problematic field of legal psychology; provided legal-psychological characteristics of the mechanisms of influence on the political-legal consciousness of voters; features of electoral behavior as a reflection of their political-legal consciousness are identified. It is argued that the current state of statehood in Ukraine is characterized by instability, inconsistencies of civic positions and worldviews, the confrontation of different political ideologies. The recent presidential and parliamentary elections in Ukraine show that the majority of the population does not want to return to the old state system and its values. But the existence of systemic problems in the functioning of our state, the instability of the political-legal consciousness of the electorate and its leaders do not allow for real and significant democratic transformations.
