Telcharov O. Theory of Mind of persons dependent on psychoactive substances.

The dissertation is devoted to the research of the Theory of Mind of persons dependent on psychoactive substances (PAS). We have conducted theoretical analysis of this psychological construct and scientific approaches to its research; operationalization of terminology and analysis of specific features of the Theory of Mind of persons dependent on psychoactive substances. The place of ToM among other psychological abilities which facilitate social communication (emotional intelligence, empathy) was established. Theory of Mind is defined as cognitive ability, which results in the creation of hypotheses about emotions, needs, thoughts, beliefs, desires, etc., of the object of the Theory of Mind. According to the results of theoretical analysis, it is established that persons dependent on psychoactive substances have different Theory of Mind than persons without dependencies.
