Yurkevych I. "Administrative and legal bases of legal clinics in Ukraine"

The dissertation is one of the first in Ukraine complex researches on administrative and legal bases of activity of legal clinics in Ukraine. In the dissertation research of administrative-legal aspects of the functioning of legal clinics in Ukraine with the application of modern methods of scientific research is carried out that has allowed drawing the following conclusions and offers: The main stages of formation of the system of legal clinics are determined: 1) creation of the first legal clinics in Ukraine on the initiative of students, at the expense of patrons and donors, and based on charitable non-governmental human rights organizations (during 1997 - 1999 pp.); 2) lack of support for their activities by line ministries and minimal support for the management of higher education institutions (during 1999-2001 pp.); 3) recognition by public administration bodies and educational institutions of the role of legal clinics in the system of training highly qualified lawyers (from 2001 to August 2006); 4) active creation of a system of legal clinics in the structure of higher education institutions of Ukraine (August 2006 -June 2012); 5) substantiation by the legal clinical movement o f the legal status of legal clinics as subjects of free legal aid at the legislative level (from June 2012 to the present).
