Lototskyi I. The structure and content of physical training for athletes in military pentathlon

The object of research: athletes training in military pentathlon; the goal – substantiation of structure and content of the program of physical training for the athletes specializing in military pentathlon while students in higher military educational institutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; the methods – theoretical (analysis and data generalization of special literature sources), documentary method (review of competitions recordings and instructional videos), survey (questionnaire among coaches), pedagogical observation (facilities availability in higher military educational institutions), testing (levels of general and specific physical fitness of the athletes, methodological and theoretical preparedness of commanders); the novelty – for the first time the structure and content of physical training program for athletes in military pentathlon have been scientifically substantiated; data have been increased on indicators of general and specific physical fitness of the athletes; information has been expanded on the structural organization of athletes training in the two-year cycle, on the optimal volume and intensity of training load; knowledge has been further developed on scientific and methodological approaches to enhancing the level of general and specific physical fitness of the athletes; the results – have been applied in the training process for the national team of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the higher military educational institutions: Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy, Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technologies; in the educational process for the students in speciality 017 Physical education and sport of Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after Ivan Boberskyi; in the training process for military pentathletes of the 184th Training Centre (Starychi village, Yavoriv district, Lviv region); specialization – physical education and sport.
